Recipe: Healthy Salted Caramel & Banana Tartlets

Healthy Salted Caramel and Banana Tartlets - low fat, gluten free, refined sugar free, vegan, healthy

I think one thing people often forget when it comes to making desserts is that they don't have to be complicated!

You don't have to spend hours in the kitchen - and you don't have to follow a million and one complicated steps in a recipe! Some of the most delicious desserts are those that are incredibly simple - and to make them even better, we've made this one healthy too ;)

These tarts are the perfect quick and easy dessert for when friends come over unannounced or you just want to treat yourself to something delicious - and no one would ever know they're healthy!

They combine two of our ultimate favourite recipes - our Easy to Make Healthy Pastry Recipe and our Healthy Three Ingredient Caramel Sauce (but you can also use our Coconut Caramel Sauce!)

But let me tell you how to make them!

1 batch of our Easy to Make Healthy Pastry Recipe (sweet version) made into tart shells
Fresh banana slices

All you have to do is put a spoonful of caramel into the base of your tart shells and layer your banana slices on top. Drizzle your caramel sauce over the top of your banana slices and serve.
Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

Feel free to add whatever else you like - a sprinkle of toasted coconut, a drizzle of melted chocolates - the opportunities are endless!

But tell me, what's your favourite simple dessert recipe?

  2. Mmmmmm this.looks.so.delish! Simple and so beautiful to look at. You're right--sometimes simple and easy steps are the best~but lately I can't stop making bread and all that 20+ steps type of recipe, haha!

  3. Haha, I always avoid bread because it takes so so long and I am so so impatient - but once I start, I get obsessed and can't stop making it because I feel like I've conquered a massive hurdle haha
