Recent Things: Blah and Bunnies

Hellooooo! Happy Friday! And happy first day of March!

I know February is a short month, but it feels like it totally flew by. Work has been crazy busy, life has been crazy busy and somehow we're three months into the year.

I'm kind of sad that it's March today because it means that summer is officially over and...

... and if you've been around here for a little while, you'd know that Kristy and colder weather do not mix well. I'm a summer girl and absolutely hate winter (and I was born in August and hate that my birthday is in the middle of our winter).

I'm currently trying to convince Jesse that we need to go to Hawaii again during winter so I can escape some of the doom.

And if you're in the northern hemisphere and currently experiencing snowmageddon, I give you major props. It doesn't even get that cold in Sydney (it definitely doesn't snow) and I will still whine my way through it 😛

But enough winter talk, I've got to catch you up on our last week of summer!
Here's what's been happening in our world this week! >>

Recently Feeling: A bit blah, to be honest... kind of like Jesse trying to avoid Monday 😜

I had the flu a few weeks ago and feel like I'm getting it again (I've had horrible sinus pain and headaches all week long) and there are a bunch of little things happening in our world that I just don't have the motivation/energy for - buttttttttttt, we're babysitting our favourite little dudes tonight and planning on working on some projects tomorrow so I'm hoping a good weekend will fix that!

Recent Puppy Antics: Trixie has this weird habit of needing to shove her head between your ankles whenever she's scared or wants attention and it's just so odd (and also really cute).

Sometimes I'll be in the kitchen cooking and she'll come up to me, wedge her head between her feet and just wait for me to pay attention to her.

Usually she doesn't do it to Jesse (because Jesse is her ball thrower and when she sees Jesse, she has to go and grab her ball because he might want to play with her) but the other day she apparently just wanted him to love on her so she perched herself between his feet.

Such a weird dog.

Recent Loving: Gluten free risoni/orzo - and then going back to the shop to find they no longer sell it... ugh!

If you're in Sydney and know where a girl can get gluten free risoni, tell me! The brand I had was imported but I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

Recent Wanting: To buy ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL of the TK Maxx Easter Stock.

Why does it have to be so cute?
Why can't TK Maxx sponsored my life?
Why does Jesse think I already have too many Easter bunnies?

So many why's, so little time.

I bought a bunch of those rabbit plates that you see in the centre for a future table setting - but I need to go back and hopefully get some more as I only have 8 at the moment.... but then I saw the blue plates below them and decided I really need them too... and the ramekins... and the easter butter dishes... and the easter eggs... and everything else in the entire freaking store.

So that's where we're at.

Recent Laughing At: This photo of my Dad at his school formal that one of his old school friends posted.

My Dad is on the left here and this photo was probably taken in 1975. My Dad isn't actually that short (I am taller than him - but only by a little bit) but this photo makes him look so small, haha!

Also, my Dad does not wear ties/bowties/anything ever, so I don't know how he's wearing one there. When my parents got married he didn't even wear a tie!

Recent Reading: SO MANY GREAT BOOKS! It's been a great reading week this week!

On the Come Up by Angie Thomas was brilliant (and a must read for teens - especially US teens! I feel like the audiobook version of this would be incredible), The Recipe Box by Sandra Lee was a gorgeous quick read (and any book that combines food and recipes with a sweet love story is a win with me!) and Kelly Rimmer's The Things We Cannot Say was absolutely incredible!

If you're looking for a new book to read, go and check those out!

Recent Realising: My reaction to babies now is the same as my reaction to babies as a 3 year old ðŸ˜›

And yes, that is me... and yes, I was blonde. For some reason people are always shocked when they find out I was blonde as a child? I was blonde until I was about 5, and then my hair went brown. As a little little girl, it was really blonde - but then it turned more of a mousey blonde.

Recent PostsThis week on the blog I shared 10 Plastic Free Swaps To Make in Your Bathroom as well as a delicious Paleo Super Seed Bliss Balls Recipe that is one of my go-to bliss balls! If you haven't already checked out those posts, go over and have a look!

But tell me,
What's the last thing you laughed at?
And what's one thing you really want right now?!
