Recent Things: Emergency Vet Trips and Anything That Sticks

This week has been a total blur because I feel like we have not stopped!

Our weekend started off perfectly, but then after an emergency vet visit on Saturday, everything went a little bit crazy...

So let me catch you up on our week! >>

Recent Shopping: Our weekend started off perfectly. We slept in and then decided to head to IKEA and Bunnings to get a Raskog cart for my Cricut supplies as well as some materials for different Cricut projects.

But then we were checking out at Bunnings and my Mum called me to tell me that Chanel's paw was bleeding and she was going to take her to the vet - so we raced home so I could go with them.

Recent Puppiness: Sooo, at the vet we found that Chanel had a very sore and swollen paw - but they had no idea why. They gave her pain killers and antibiotics and bandaged it up in a yellow bandage with instructions to come back on Monday..

Only the vet visit didn't go that easily... poor Chanel was in so much pain and so traumatised that we decided to book her in to get her teeth cleaned on the Monday so they could clean her teeth whilst also looking at her foot and cleaning it out whilst she was under anaesthetic.

One big vet bill, two less teeth and a pink bandage later, Chanel came home very sad and very drugged (she'd had methadone so girlfriend was high as a kite) on Monday night.

Poor pupper had to wear the cone of shame to stop her from tearing off her bandage or licking her feet (which she does 24/7 as a comfort thing.. and is probably why her foot was so sore in the first place!).... but the bandage had other plans..

Luckily Jesse was working from home on Tuesday and Wednesday because Miss Chanel's bandage came off completely on both days and we had to rush her back to the vet to get them to put it back on.

Don't ask me how the bandage they did while she was unconscious was worse than the one they did when she was sore and squirming around - but it was.

Luckily, by Wednesday her foot was healed enough to let her go without the bandage so she's been bandage free with just the cone of shame since ๐Ÿ˜œ

Poor pup now hates the vet more than ever before because she's been back almost every day since last Saturday (the only day we weren't there was Sunday!).... but she is well and truly on the mend and hopefully won't have any need to go back for a long time!

Recently Eating: Well, Jesse was eating (as it wasn't gluten free!). Barbecue! We joined friends to go to a bbq food truck after church on Sunday and Jesse was in a meat coma for the rest of the day... and then we joined more friends that evening for a Pokemon Go Community Day where I caught alllll the shiny pokemon ๐Ÿ˜›

Recently Making: ALLLL THE Cricut-ed things. Since my Cricut Maker Introduction post, I've been making as much as possible.

Jesse and I went to Kmart and bought some stainless steel drink bottles and when he saw this one he told me he needed a space kitty water bottle - so that's what we made! I'm also going to add a second kitty and a little rocket ship when I get a chance.

I also made a personalised drink bottle, t-shirt and hedgehog for my sister who had the first treatment session for her autoimmune disease (which has come back) this week.  The hedgehog was a test to see if i could use the iron on material on a plush toy and it worked so now I've got to put my thinking cap on!

Recently Laughing At: Trixie in her 50 cent Kmart beanie ๐Ÿ˜œLittle miss Trixie thinks that Chanel has been getting all the attention this week so she's been extra snuggly.
