This past week has flown by. Work has been crazy, Thanksgiving totally snuck up on me and I had to squeeze cooking ALL THE THINGS in-between working yesterday, our annual gingerbread house decorating event is this weekend and Christmas is fast approaching.
But even though this time of year is crazy, it's totally my favourite time of year. My office has fairy lights, we've got Christmas decorations up, Christmas carols are playing in the stores and all is well 😜

Recent Surprises: ALLLLL the books! I've been seriously spoilt by our publisher pals lately and all of these books are on my to-read list!
I was super sick last week and didn't get much reading done - but I did read Angie Kent's book... and whilst I was totally thinking I'd love it... it was terrible. I know Angie's not a writer, but the book just felt blah to me. It had no point, it was all over the place and I just didn't love it.
Recently Cooking: ALLLL the Thanksgiving food! We had a small Thanksgiving dinner yesterday just with our immediate family, but I made baked mac and cheese, Southern style green beans and pumpkin pie which we had alongside ham, roasted potatoes, corn on the cob and cheesecake. SO much food.
The Southern style green beans were actually inspired by Disneyland! While we were there, Jesse ate Walt's favourite fried chicken which was served with mashed potato, green beans and biscuits.
Recently Missing: Disneyland! We've only been gone for a little over a week and we're still wishing we could go back! Especially because there are so many epic Disneyland deals right now.

Recently Posting: THE MOST AMAZING cookies. Seriously, this Gluten Free Pecan Pie Cookies Recipe are ridiculously delicious. Everyone who has come over and tried them this week has fallen in love with them too. They'll be a repeat make throughout Christmas - and I think I'm going to add them to my gifting cookie packs too!
