Recent Things: Baby Scoobs, Blue Skies & A Book to Make You Cry

Hello there. We survived the week... and right now I feel like that's an achievement.

The level of stupid in the world right now is at an all time high and I feel like things just keep getting worse by the day.

You might be reading this post from your house, where you're stuck in lock down or isolation, or maybe you're reading on the train surrounded by people in masks. Wherever you look, there's signs that things just aren't normal - and so I want to say just one thing.

Hello, you're doing great. We're going to get through this.

The world is weird right now - but there's still positives, so let me add some humour and catch you up on our week.

It seems kind of trivial and silly, but the world needs a little more lightheartedness right now.

Here's what's been happening in our world this week! >>

Recently Building: LEGO and hanging out with one of my favourite little dudes and giant dogs.

And also realising, whilst I may be creative in all other areas of life, my lego building skills are limited to houses.

We built a police station, a police cell, a policeman's house and a policeman's garage. Noticing a theme here?

And let's not even get started on how much it messed with my OCD to have all sorts of coloured bricks. A LEGO conossieur I am not.

Jelly donut cake

Recently Baking: A "Jelly Donut" cake (don't worry about the ugly photo, it was a "cakes in the microwave" photo texted to Jesse as I left the house) for our Bible study group... which I then ate all by myself (well, with Jesse and my parents) because bible study and all church activities and services were cancelled indefinitely on Wednesday.

I was very sad. Especially when I then went to the supermarket and couldn't find any of the gluten free ingredients I needed because people are nuts.

Who flung dung

Recently Hoping: The craziness in our world doesn't result in this 🤣Who knew the hardware store could be so amusing?

And no, I wasn't weirdly prepping for the end of the world... I was buying more pots for my pineapple plants because we now have 6 pineapple plants that are growing like mad.

Pineapple Plant invasion

This is the pineapple situation + another huge pineapple plant on the right (not in the photo) that has two "suckers" which I need to repot, as well as a new plant growing that should produce a pineapple in the next 6 or so months.

In Five Years by Rebecca Serle

Recently Reading: In Five Years and crying my eyes out. So good but so sad.

Sushi roll board game

Recently Purchasing: A bunch of board games... and then realising... umm... are my board games even going to be able to be shipped to Australia?

They just stopped all flights... but does that include mail planes? I guess I may be waiting a very long time.

If you're in the US though, here's some games that might help you pass the time. Sushi Roll, Ice Cool (SO good. Kids would also love this one!), Ramen Fury and Dungeon Roll.

Also, be sure to check out our Ultimate Board Game Guide and Adults Only Board Game Guide for more game ideas. All of them have online shopping links and a huge number are Amazon Prime items!

Blue sky day in Sydney

Recently Welcoming: Blue skies once again! This week went from super cold to lovely and warm yesterday and I was so happy to see blue skies!
