Recent Things: New Car, Paperwork and Foodie Obsessions

 Hellooo there! Happy Friday!

I totally skipped last week's recipe post and Recent Things post because life got a little crazy - but I'm back and I have lots of exciting stuff to fill you in on!

So here's what's been happening in our world recently! >>

Recently Discovering: That Sheepadoodles exist and I NEEDDDDD one!!! SOOOO cute!

I may or may not have found a sheepadoodle breeder and followed their Facebook page 🙈

Recently Celebrating: Being able to see friends again - and free cake! We had two friends over last Friday night for a barbecue and it was so fun being able to hang out again!

And I mean.. free cake was made for sharing, right?! We decided to add candles since we couldn't celebrate Jesse's birthday with friends back in April.

Recently Buying: A new car! And Jesse is as happy as can be! We decided on the car we bought because it was a hybrid and we're already convinced that was THE BEST idea because the fuel economy is insane... and the car looks prettttyyy slick too 👌🏼

Recent Obsession: Don't mind the horribly messy half eaten photo, butttttt, I am OBSESSED with sauerkraut at the moment. Particularly sauerkraut + roasted potatoes + avocado. SOO good.

Why have I not eaten kraut sooner?!

Recently Making: And from one vegan meal to one very-not-vegan meal, we made Croque Monsieurs for dinner on Wednesday night and OHMYGOSH that is another thing I have been snoozing on.

I don't think I can ever eat a "normal" sandwich again. All of my sandwiches must now be smothered in cheese sauce. We loosely followed this recipe (but made it gluten free), but Jesse decided he is NOT a fan of dijon mustard so we'll skip that next time for him.

Recently Realising: The next few months of my life are going to be all about paperwork. I've done the car paperwork, am working on home loan applications and pre approval paperwork (which will then mean more paperwork when we buy the house!), there's work paperwork and then the financial year is coming to a close and it will be time to sort out our taxes (PLUS Jesse's US taxes 🤦🏼‍♀️).

Adulting kinda sucks, pals.

If someone would like to come and either do A) all my paperwork or B) all the work I need to do to pay the bills that lead to paperwork, that would be fab 😜

(But i'm not actually complaining, I'm totally grateful... but I'm starting to question whether my signature is actually even remotely similar to what it's supposed when I've signed it for the 605th time)

Recently Reading: Still not that much, but I've managed to finish some really great books!

The Switch was such a lovely read, The Banksia Bay Beach Shack was another fave from Sandie Docker, The Drop Off was so funny and relatable and Ordinary may just be my favourite Christian book of all time (big call, but Tony Merida and I see eye to eye on so many things and I can't read a single page without getting seriously fired up and ready to serve)

I'm hoping to read Tiny Pieces of Us this weekend as I read the first chapter and it totally hooked me in.

Recently Watching: All of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies! We've been watching Prop Culture on Disney+ and then watching all of the movies from the episode because we've finished two epic TV series and are in that space where we're not ready to commit to something else 😜

If you have a TV show recommendation, let me know!

Recently Reminscing: About our Disneyland vacations! I uploaded this video to Youtube because it wouldn't let me send it to a friend. We're totally NOT Youtubers, but if you need a little Disneyland happy in your life, ignore my crappy videography and watch it!

But tell me,
How has your week been?
And what have you been watching lately?
