December Favourites

Can you believe this month is nearly over?! We've got some time off work so we're settling in to enjoy time with friends and family, feast on delicious Christmas food and celebrate what an incredible year we've had. First, we wanted to share our favourite things with you!

Best Memory this Month:Any time spent with our beautiful puppy! Our photo shoot at Verve Portraits with her was definitely a highlight and this month she has become more of a Mumma's girl than ever before! How can you not love that sweet face?!

We were worried about her after Gizmo passed away, but it seems this little princess has developed her own personality and she keeps getting cuter every single day.

Favourite Drink:
Cawwwwwwwww-feeeeeeee. It started with a Caramel Latte.. I hadn't been able to tolerate caffeine for years. Even a bite of tiramisu would have me shaking and feeling dizzy. But alas, when we were sent a Dolce Gusto, I wanted to give coffee a second chance - and my stomach accepted!

Ever since, I've been sipping on coffee almost every day. My favourite Dolce Gusto pod would have to be the cafe au lait - it's super creamy and doesn't have sugar added so it's perfect for my not-so-sweet tooth! But when I do want something sweet? The Caramel Macchiatos are perfect!

Favourite Kitchen Gadget:
This month I've developed an obsession with crepes and pancakes - and it's thanks to these three magic kitchen gadgets.

This Raco Contemporary Crepe Pan from Kitchenware Direct ($25 - keep an eye out for specials after boxing day!) is an absolute dream and I've even hidden it from the rest of the family so that it doesn't get ruined. The OXO Pancake turner is perfect for flipping big heavy pancakes as it's so side, whereas I love the OXO Silicone turner for gently lifting crepes are more delicate things like omelettes.

Definitely my kitchen must haves for the month!

Favourite Southern In-Law Recipe:
It's tricky picking a favourite this month, but we are both loving this Healthy Peanut Butter Shortbread Recipe and it's perfect for Christmas.

I made up a big batch and stashed it in the freezer and we've been eating them straight from the freezer and they're perfect!

My other favourite would definitely have to be our Healthy Gingerbread Pancakes. Heaaaaaven.

Recipe I need to share:
I randomly made these delicious little bites and Jesse and I have been obsessed with them ever since. They're so simple, use only three ingredients and I need to share the not quite a recipe ASAP!

Song I have on Repeat:
Faithful by Brooke Fraser her voice and the lyrics are perfect.

Can't stop, won't stop. I actually get uber excited when the band at our Church play any of her songs because she is an incredible song writer.

Even if you're not religious, Brooke Fraser's music is amazing. She's also the one who sings Something in the Water which you may have heard on the radio!

Seasonal Favourites:
My custom made Surania Bikini which fits me like an absolute glove and is so so cute! I can never find a bikini to fit me and I'm always unhappy with how they fit so when Surania asked me if I'd like to test out their custom made bikini service, I was keen as a lima bean!

You choose exactly what style (both top and bottom) and fabrics you want for your bikini - or you can select from one of Surania's ready made designs. Then you can either select your sizes or input your measurements (I sent in my measurements) and before you know it, a cute little box with your dream bikini (or tankini , beachwear or one piece) arrives! I am in love with mine and it's even better than I expected!

I'm also in love with my Sunsoaked Long Sleeved Swim Top as I am all about sun protection and modesty. I usually don't like swimming in a bikini around others because I'm so modest - and I also usually get really cold in the water so the Sunsoaked Swim Top has to be one of my summer must haves.

Not only does it protect you from the sun, it's also super cute and you can wear it by the pool without any funny looks. So so cute!

You guys are also one of my favourites (as always)
So tell me, what have you been loving this month?

  1. Hey that long sleeved swim top is great; didn't even know those sort of tops existed. I've only known the typical "rash shirt" kind of thing, but these ones are actually cool!
