Recent Things: 50 Shades of G'Day

Hellloooo! Happy Friday!

Somehow Friday has rolled around again and the weekend is near! I'm a bit sad because this is the last week Jesse has off work - so we are fully back to regular routines as of Monday... boo!

But nevertheless, I've been soaking up all the extra time with him and am looking forward to getting stuck into some new projects now that my clients are all back at work too!

But before I get to that,
Let me catch you up on this week! >>

Recently Redecorating: On repeat. I've been so sad since our Christmas decorations went down so I just keep changing up my office decor and different things around the house to try and make it better, haha!

I'm planning a Valentine's Theme for February so it least feels a little more festive and fun!

Recently Reading: The Cottage at Rosella Cove - love love loved it!

Last year I read Sandie Docker's The Kookaburra Creek Cafe and really enjoyed it - so naturally I had to read The Cottage at Rosella Cove as soon as it came out.  This book exceeded my expectations. It made me laugh, cry (seriously, BRING KLEENEX for the last five or so chapters), squirm and smile and I didn't want to put it down.

Sandie has an incredible talent for putting the reader right in the middle of the story. Immersing them in the world of her characters and making them feel like they're walking right along side them. So so good!

I also read Tami Hoag's The Boy this week which I really enjoyed - though it took me a while to get into it.

Whilst it was a little slow to start, the second half of the book totally made up for it as there were so many twists, turns and shocks. Every time I thought I had the story figured out, something happened that left me stunned, unable to stop reading because I NEEDED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED NEXT! The best kind of thrillers/crime novels are the ones where you have no idea what's going to happen - and this was one of those.

Recently Making: New textured photo backdrops for my clients! I popped up a post on Instagram asking if people would be interested in a DIY tutorial and got SO MANY replies (I was expecting 5, haha!) so I will have to photograph the next one I make and pop up the instructions on the blog!

Recently Studying: Alll things Australian. Jesse has his citizenship test in a few weeks so we're busily reading through all the test info!

Recently Eating: These Easy Homemade Gluten Free Honey Jumble Biscuits Recipe... ZOMG, so good! I'm going to have to make another batch later this month for Australia Day!

But tell me,
How has your week been?
What's the best book you've read lately?
