An HONEST Review of Koala Mattresses (and Unboxing Video!)

An honest review of Koala Foam Mattresses - plus a vacuum sealed mattress unboxing video

Jesse has been complaining about our mattress for such a long time. I’d been putting off buying a new one for ages and ages – but then I saw an ad for Koala and I was totally intrigued.

A mattress than comes vacuum sealed? In a tiny box? With NO SPRINGS?!

And a mattress that's a FRACTION of the price of the ones you'll find in stores?!

Surely that couldn’t be comfortable or great quality… right?

When Koala asked me if I’d like to try out one of their mattresses, I jumped at the opportunity. I thought it would be the perfect way to shut Jesse up and either to find a new mattress – or prove our old one really wasn’t that bad.

Was I convinced about how good the Koala mattress would be? Not really.

Sure, they had lots of glowing reviews – but were they real? Could I trust them?

I didn’t know anyone with a Koala mattress, so I remained sceptical; deciding I'd make up my mind once ours arrived.
So let me tell you (and show you!) what we really thought! >>

As a family who love Christmas, the Christmas table is very important and now that Katrina and I are older, each year we spend quite a bit of time thinking up a theme and how we're going to style it.

This year, keeping with our red, while and silver theme you saw on our tree and presents - we decided to do the same with our Christmas table!

So let me share our tips with you and show you our table! >>

In our last SIL Style post, I shared my tips for creating your own Industrial Inspired Office Space, however, with summer fast approaching I'm dreaming of a beach escape - so I thought I'd share my tips for creating your own Beach House Paradise at Home!

Whilst I love modern and industrial inspired interiors, I also love the shabby chic beach-house style and now is the perfect time to refresh your home with a beach inspired look! To me, beach houses are relaxing and tranquil - with crisp, clean colours and splashes of seaside blues.

But you don't need to be by the beach to have that look - you can easily recreate the tranquil, calming atmosphere of a beach house in your own home.

So let me share my tips for creating casual beach chic interiors >>

SIL Style: Creating an Industrial Inspired Office Space

I always say I can't wait til Jesse and I have our own home so that we can have space - but the truth is, I can't wait to fill that space.

I absolutely love interior design - to the point where I used to want to be an interior designer.... but then I left school and started my photography business and then started KISS Freelance so I could work as a photographer, copywriter, web designer, graphic designer, recipe development and social media consultant.

Who knows... maybe one day I'll add freelance interior design to that list too ;P

I've always loved mixing industrial and traditional/vintage elements (I mean, take a look at our wedding reception) and I love piecing together inspiration boards so I thought I'd share my tips for creating the perfect industrial inspired office space.
