Recent Things: Our New Addition, Christmas Craziness and Pecan Pie!

Well hey, friends! We've had a veeeeeery busy week as always (where does one get a secluded beach vacation when they need one? :P) but it's been filled with friends, fun and lots and lots of fun.

We're in full Christmas prep mode and I've been working on lots of yummy recipes to share with you all! But let me give you a peek at our week!

Recent Garden Progress: Um, check those babies out! Our veggie patch has been growing like crazy this week! Our eggplant seedlings are finally starting to pop up and everything else has flourished and has grown way more than we expected in such a short time.

Now we just need to start seeing edible things! Patience Kristy, patience!

Recent Laughs: My silly husband! Whilst we were doing some Christmas shopping at The Reject Shop Jesse begged me to let him buy these Christmas hats - so I gave in and let him buy them. Now he just thinks he has an excuse to eat more Christmas cookies because "Santa has to approve before they go on the blog"

Recent Excitement: We're one week away from picking up our new little fur baby! Katrina is getting a puppy, Trixie, who is on the left in the photo above. On the right is little baby Chanel!

We cannot wait to meet our newest family member!

Recent Deliciousness: This Gingerbread Baked Oatmeal recipe is insanely good and I cannot wait to share it with you all. I could eat this every single day :P

Recent Rekindled Obsession: Cheesy Garlic Bread Toasted Sandwiches get in muh belleh. These are way too good - especially when the weather is a bit wonky like it has been and you can't decide if you're hot or cold. I mean, when is melty cheese ever bad?

Recent Baking: This week has been a bit of a cookie fest in the SIL house. We've been baking up lots of delicious Christmas cookies, however, I've just made mini pecan pies so I kind of ruined the cookie fest.

I've never made pecan pies - ever - so this was Jesse's request and I'm quite happy to say I succeeded in creating a SIL Style Healthier Pecan Pie ;P

But tell me, how has your week been?
What's the best thing you've eaten/made/done this week?
