Six Sentence Sunday: 12th April, 2015

After a four day weekend last weekend, I'm wishing we had another long weekend this week as I so don't want to go back to work tomorrow :P

Jesse and Trixie Watching Cartoons - Doctor Who Beanie and Blanket

We have had a super lazy weekend so far as the weather was pretty woeful yesterday and we even started the day with cartoons... well.... Jesse and Trixie sat on the couch and watched cartoons whilst I walked on the treadmill :P (And yes, Jesse has a Doctor Who beanie and blanket)

Perfect Ham and Cheese Omelette

Our lazy morning was perfected with perfect omelettes - and Jesse still cannot comprehend how I manage to make perfect omelettes every time #skillz

Pretty Yarn Pom Pom Garland

But our weekend wasn't all lazing about - we also headed to The Reject Shop to pick up some supplies for a super cute (and super simple) craft project; A pretty pom pom garland!

We also did some experimenting with the Cuisine Companion and grated an entire block of cheese in just a minute (and one second because I paused it too late, ha!)

Now we're back from church and we've done all the house-y things we needed to do (fold clothes, wash clothes etc) and eaten lunch so it's time to reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelax!

But tell me, how has your weekend been?

6 Sentence Sunday: 22nd March, 2014

We're coming to the end of an awesome weekend that has been filled with fun and I'm wishing I could press replay and delay the working week a little longer :P

Yesterday we headed to Eveleigh Farmer's Markets in the morning to catch up and spend some time with our friends, then returned home to go shopping to get some things for an upcoming craft project and before we knew it it was time to head out again as we were off to see Cirque's Le Noir at The Lyric Theatre.

Little did I know, Le Noir was going to exceed my every expectation and Jesse and I spent the entire show completely in awe of their talent, strength, courage, trust and artistry.

We saw Totem back in December but, dare I say it, I actually think I may have enjoyed Le Noir even more (which was totally not what I was expecting!) as it really focused in on the talents of each of the performers and each and every performance grabbed your attention and held it to the very end.

But the final act? Let me just say that I had my jaw on the floor the entire time, clutching at Jesse's arm and feeling a mix of fear/adrenaline/sheer awe over what these two guys were doing - you seriously need to see it to understand the feeling (tickets are available here and the show runs until April 4th - also, if you're worried about it being to risque, don't be as it really doesn't focus too much on that - instead focusing on the individual performers - and if I can say that, it's definitely not too risque :P)

This week I'm hoping to fit in some time to come up with some delicious Easter recipes for you all - so be sure to send through any suggestions/requests you might have so that I can get to work on them!

But tell me, how has your weekend been?
Did you get up to anything exciting or did you enjoy a relaxed weekend instead?
And what do you prefer - heading to the theatre and seeing something live or watching a movie?
I'm all about live theatre - I cannot ever see too many shows!

Six Sentence Sunday: 1st March, 2015

We're definitely loving our Cuisine Companion already because it makes things so simple - case in point? Jesse made his first ever risotto last night with me using the Cuisine Companion* and it was so delicious that I'm currently eating the leftovers for lunch! (And I cannot tell you how awesome it was to not make dinner for once - except for grilling some chicken and steaming some veggies haha)

I'm definitely looking forward to trying out new recipes in the Cuisine Companion soon and I've already written up a bunch of ideas I want to try out! (I also started a Cuisine Companion Facebook Group for Healthy Recipes!)

After dinner, this MJ fan and her husband headed over to The Lyric Theatre to see the brand new Thriller Live (check out the website for tickets/cast info/sneak peeks - the season runs until March 15!) and we had an awesome night out!

Whilst it was a little different to what I was expecting, we loved the show and I was in awe of the talent of the cast - their vocals, dance moves and enthusiasm was totally on point and made for an awesome show!

After taking a day off from working out yesterday (as I managed to pull a muscle in my right thigh on Friday), I am totally paying for it today as I have a completely numb leg which simply does not want to wake up!

This week Jesse is heading back to Canberra for work and I have a crazy week filled with events, meetings and more so I am somewhat hanging out for next weekend :P

But tell me, how has your weekend been?
Do you like theatre shows/musical?
And what did you have for dinner last night?

*We were selected by Cuisine Companion as an ambassador, however, all opinions are entirely our own!

Six Sentence Sunday: 22nd February, 2015

We've been enjoying a very lazy weekend which was much needed as we've been so busy lately and have a busy couple of weeks ahead of us!

Last night, however, was date night so we got out of our comfy clothes (someone is constantly in comfy clothes at the moment as she thinks she has every right to wear them due to being sick :P) and headed our to EQ to The Comedy Store for the night!

We saw "The World's Biggest Comedy Show" which was a 2 hour set with 10 different comedians and they were all really different with a mix of styles and jokes - some were brilliant but there were one or two so-so's (though their jokes were still way better than mine; "Have you heard the joke about the peanut butter? No? Oh, I can't tell you.... you might spread it....")

This morning we stayed home from church in favour of a lazy start to the morning which has been loveeeeeeeeeeely as we've had time to stop, talk and relax!

This week we have so much planned with a very exciting blog ambassadorship soon to be announced, I'll be busily working away on the eBook (check out that ridiculously delicious blueberry cobbler up there!), we both have meetings galore and on Saturday we're heading out to see Thriller Live and this MJ super-fan is ridiculously excited!

Tonight we've got to pick up SIL Mama and Papa from the airport as they're coming back from Adelaide and before we know it the alarm will be waking us up on Monday morning ready for a week of work - eek!

But tell me, how has your weekend been?
And have you ever been to a stand-up comedy show?
